Dueling Dresses: Jennifer Hudson vs. Elizabeth Banks
It's two silver screen starlets in the same Versace Fall 2012 dress – so who wore it better?Friday, Jennifer Hudson showed off her slim figure in the black and gold mini at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.The 31-year-old finished her look with black Versace pumps, a pink lip, smoky eyes and styled her hair down in loose curls.But she wasn't the first leading lady to hit the red carpet in this getup!Back in July, Elizabeth Banks sported the same designer dress (except in grey) to the Atelier Versace Fall 2012 presentation in Paris, France.
The "Hunger Games" actress matched her outfit with silver pumps and styled her hair in an updo. The 38-year-old finished her look with dark cat eyes and a pink lip.While both the ladies looked lovely in the Versace ensemble – we've got to give it to Jennifer! Natalee Stewart, whose daughter was stopped and whose son decided not to go in after his date was turned away, said it's difficult as a parent to even find dresses that cover the knee, given current styles. She said school officials later changed their minds and decided to let her in, and then changed their minds again and told her to leave.A number of students also decried what they said seemed like inconsistent enforcement, noting that some girls were stopped because of hemlines an inch above their knees but others who showed skin on top were allowed to enter.Many also said Monday they're not excited about the idea of attending a make-up dance, noting that they'd already spent money on things like dinner and limos that they can't get back. Plus, it won't really be a homecoming dance, some said.
