Long prom dress trends for 2014

March, April and May are unofficially designated as prom season. During these months, Grade 8 students and senior high school girls scour department stores and boutiques looking for the perfect gown. In today’s video, Ms. Hassan shows off a beautiful dark green princess dress, fit for a prom queen.This classic strapless has a beaded bust and lots of crinoline, combined with eye-catching embellishments to ensure you will stand out. Pair it with a sparkly clutch handbag and you have the perfect glamorous look. 

There were an estimated 75 to 100 girls who walked away from the event with a dress or two in hand."They come in with some kind of dream," Steiner said. "And that's exactly what we work to fulfill so when they leave, they feel so excited." 

The event will continue noon to 4 p.m. Sunday with an event in Hollister at The Vault, 452 Benito St. and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 19 in Watsonville at the YWCA, 340 E. Beach St.
