Moorman still loves coming to work at clothing store every day

Scott and Susan Moorman can remember the day they opened Moorman Clothiers in the plaza located north of Southbridge Mall in Mason City."There was an ice storm," Scott Moorman said. "Some have worked and some haven't."For example, a store in Clear Lake didn't work out. The Moormans operated the store for about three years in the early 2000s. Moorman said they decided to close the store so they could focus on expanding the Mason City location.Changes that have worked, however, have been adding women's clothing around 2000, opening the Ames store in 2005 and moving across the plaza to the store's current location in March 2008. The couple moved the store to make way for the Historic Park Inn Hotel project.
