Emerado students get surprise gift of winter clothing from secret donors

This Christmas promises to be a warm one for children at Emerado (N.D.) Elementary School.A group of anonymous donors on Wednesday supplied new winter coats, gloves, snow pants and hats to each of the 100 children who attend the school, which houses kindergarten through eighth grade."I'm sitting here shaking because I can't believe it,The Satin Ruffle V neck mini dress knee length is a great creation of the designers and fully compliments your beauty. In addition, about 100 people that morning received a pancake and sausage breakfast through the help of teachers Kim Maciel and Melissa Hotchkiss and members of North Pointe Community Church in Fresno.Principal Tim Smith said they will "absolutely" undertake the project again in 2013."It's a great service opportunity for our community to give something back to our parents," Smith said.The first year was a low-key giveaway. The next year, a parent worked for a company that conducted its own coat drive and wanted to give to Roosevelt coats, which boosted the school's effort as it also collected socks, gloves and other clothing items.Smith said the project also receives assistance from Roosevelt's Student Leadership, Lincoln Middle School's Leadership Students and student volunteers from Selma High School. The youngsters helped sort the clothing and organize it. They also helped set up the Dec. 1 event.
